Acewell: What is the difference between 304 stainless steel and 201 stainless steel?

201 stainless steel and 304 stainless steel are both very common and widely used in the stainless steel area. What is the difference between them two? Come and take a look at the difference between 201 stainless steel and 304 stainless steel so that everyone can understand them better and make it easier to choose.
1. Different ingredients
The main difference between the two is that the composition of 201 stainless steel and 304 stainless steel. Although both belong to chromium-Nickel Alloys, the specific composition is different. The chromium content in 201 stainless steel is about 15%, while that in 304 stainless steel is 18%; similarly, the nickel content in 201 stainless steel is 5%. , while 304 stainless steel contains more, accounting for about 9%. So this also results in the appearance, the color of the two is different, the surface of 201 stainless steel is brighter, while the surface of 304 stainless steel is matte.
2. Different performance
We all know that 304 stainless steel has good corrosion resistance and is not prone to rust; but in comparison, the material of 304 stainless steel will be softer. 201 stainless steel will be harder, but it will not be as good as 304 stainless steel in terms of anti-corrosion performance. Although the surface is brighter, it is more likely to rust during use.
3. Different uses
It is precisely because of the different composition and performance that the specific uses are also different. The corrosion resistance of 201 stainless steel is not high-quality, but it has higher density and no pinholes inside, so it is generally suitable for dry environments, such as decoration fields, industrial products, etc., and can well meet the needs. 304 stainless steel has better corrosion resistance, so it can be used in industries such as industry, home decoration, and medical treatment, and it is also very suitable for some coastal or relatively humid areas.
4. Different prices

Finally, there is a slight difference in price between the two. Under normal conditions, the price of 304 stainless steel is higher than that of 201 stainless steel.
